The landscape design approach for this student accommodation project is focused on the role of the site in establishing a connection between the urban grid of the city and the open space of The Meadows, whilst aiming to create a pleasant living environment for students.

Three courts are created by the layout of the building units, each having its own particular design approach whilst utilising common design elements.  Each court is edged with a theme of linear bands of ornamental grasses set within cobbles, whilst a limited palette of hard landscape materials is used within the courts, to provide a unity of treatment yet allowing each a separate and distinct identity. The courts become more private in character based on distance from the public realm, and their treatments offer the potential for creating habitat for flora and fauna within the city.
