Jon Dixon

Assistant Landscape Architect

Jon has been based in the Highlands since 2019 and joined Horner + Maclennan in 2021. Previously studying at the Welsh School of Architecture, he is also a skilled horticulturalist, having completed several RHS certificates and trained through the Historic & Botanic Gardens Trainee Programme. This broad experience brings a holistic approach to design, a confident use of planting and an interest in the built environment. With a keen eye, Jon has brought these skills together on a wide range of design projects during his time at horner+maclennan, from schools, housing developments and private gardens from concept to construction. Jon plans to soon start the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership and gain further LVIA experience with the practice on projects across the Highlands and Islands.

Jon is a keen hill walker, cyclist and occasional triathlete who can often be found drawing on the summit of a Munro, regardless of the weather. He’s also a violinist (among other musical dabblings) and enjoys stumbling his way through Folk tunes when the neighbours are out.
